1. Objective

This workshop series aims to support the PMI Vietnam community in enhancing their capability to apply technology tools in project management. Through hands-on workshops, participants will learn how to effectively use Smartsheet, a globally recognized work and project management platform, aligned with PMI and PMBOK® guidelines.

2. Program Content

A series of 05 free hands-on workshops (1.5 hours per session), instructed by Gia Thịnh.

Session 1: Designing a Project Sheet ⏱ 1.5 hours

  • Create and structure a base sheet for project management

  • Apply Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Convert a base sheet into a project sheet

  • Use Sheet Summary

  • Define working and non-working days

  • Create dependencies and milestones

  • Implement lag and lead time

  • Use Critical, Driving, and Summary Paths

Session 2: Collaborating and Communicating on Projects ⏱ 1.5 hours

  • Communicate timeline expectations (Baseline)

  • Explore collaboration options in Smartsheet

  • Configure automation notification permissions

  • Automate project communications using conditional paths

  • Create personalized reports for current users

Session 3: Tracking Project Risks, Issues and Change Requests (RAID Log) ⏱ 1.5 hours

The PM888 session brought together 12 participants for an engaging and insightful discussion on how global geopolitical and economic shifts are shaping opportunities for project managers.

Session Highlights

The presentation was structured into two key parts:

Part One: Hypothesis & Conclusion – Is Vietnam a Tiger Economy?

This section explored a critical question:
Can Vietnam grow and develop in a similar way to South Korea and Taiwan during their “Tiger Economy” era?
