Victoria (Voria) Nguyen, ICD.D is an accomplished business executive and transformation professional. She is currently Vice President & COO, Direct Financial Services in Capital Markets at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. She is head of DFS operations and accountable for strategic initiatives, business operations, risk and regulatory controls. Victoria’s career spans over 29 years leading large scale change in many of North America’s best-known financial services industry brands. Her strong delivery track record enabled successes in operational excellence, financial merger-integrations, corporate restructuring, innovative digital solutions, global business models and technology transformations.
Prior to her executive appointments at various Canadian banks, Victoria owned and operated her management consulting firm, partnering with financial services companies to achieve their business and transformational goals. She currently serves on the National Board of Directors for Heart & Stroke Foundations and past Chair of the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Ontario & Nunavut Advisory Board. Victoria ison the Canadian National Task Force for Women’s Economic Justice (CCFWE) and has also served on various Ontario Boards including PMI Toronto Chapter. She is a volunteer and mentor for a number of charitable communities including Ascend Canada, Friends of Ruby (a home for LGBTQ2+ Youth) and the Canadian Chinese Finance Association (CCFA).
A Universal Women’s Network – Authentic Leader Award recipient and named Top 100 Women of Inspiration in Canada. Victoria is an active DEI enthusiast, public speaker, book contributor and published author in various forums.
On her business trip to Vietnam, she wants to connect with PMI Vietnam Chapter and make the topic on: “UNLEASH THE POWER OF SAFe”. By her sharing we can Learn about SAFe’s core competencies and key practices that contribute to these results: mindset and culture, Lean-Agile leadership, Lean startup thinking, customer centricity, and design thinking. Understand why one set of roles, responsibilities, and guidelines has proven to be so effective, discuss some of the implementation challenges and how you can leverage components or full SAFe principles in your own organization.

🚀 Kickstarting a New Chapter in Project Management Education! 🎓📈

On January 16th, we had an exciting Kick-off Meeting for the collaboration between PMI Vietnam Chapter and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE)! This event brought together representatives from PMI Region, PMI Vietnam Chapter, HUCE’s Vice Dean, faculty members from the Project Management Department, and passionate student representatives.
